Working for ICS/  Training

Individual Care Services recognises the importance of training, to this end we provide a comprehensive training package which includes the following modules:

  • Care certificate
  • Infection control
  • Safer people handling/Manual handling
  • Fire Safety
  • Mental health
  • Reporting & Recording
  • Medication administration
  • Positive behaviour - NAPPI
  • Epilepsy
  • Difference and diversity
  • First aid
  • Food hygiene
  • Mental capacity
  • CQF or equivalent

In addition to the mandatory in-house training modules, we encourage support workers and managers to undertake additional CQF training. Specialist training will also be provided when the needs of the service dictate, this might include: stoma care, PEG feeding, buccal midazolam and specialist moving & handling techniques.
