Sue Partlow joined ICS in 1998 as a support worker at our Polesworth home before becoming the registered manager. After a restructuring in 2017 Sue assumed responsibility for our Polesworth and Myton registered homes. Sue has a Level 5 in Health & Social Care and she has also gained a wealth of experience over the years working for ICS and other care providers.
Sadie Connelly is the deputy manager for our Polesworth and Myton homes. Sadie joined ICS in 2009 as a support worker in Solihull, before moving across to our residential services in 2016 as deputy manager.
Registered to provide residential care for five adults with a learning disability and additional needs; including sensory disabilities and physical disabilities (the home does not provide nursing care).
The property is a large two-story detached house on a modern housing estate. It is located at the top of the road not far from the center of Polesworth and is within easy reach of the village amenities including: doctor surgery, dentist, library etc. The home has its own adapted vehicle, which is available for use for all service users for outings, shopping and visiting.
The home has parking spaces to the front and side and landscaped gardens to the rear. The ground floor includes a lounge/dining room (24.36 m2), a large kitchen with modern appliances (9.3 m2), a toilet and a large modern utility room. The home also boasts two large ground floor bedroom with en-suite faculties (12.4 m2, 11.5 m2). On the first floor there is a WC, bathroom and four single bedrooms all (10.4 m2).
Residents own rooms are personalised to reflect the likes and individuality of the person occupying the room.
Organisational Structure of the Home
The person responsible for the day-to-day running of the home is the home manager who has relevant qualifications and experience. A deputy manager aids the home manager in the running of the home; in addition, there is a team of support workers with a wealth of specific experience and qualifications.
