Vicki joined ICS in 2016 as the registered manager of our Hartshill home before becoming operations manager in 2017. Vicki has overall responsibility for overseeing the running of our registered homes. Vicki is also the registered manager of our Hartshill and Wembrook homes. Vicki has gained a wealth of experience working in a variety of clinical health and social care settings.
Bev Oddy is the deputy manager of our Hartshill and Wembrook homes, Bev joined ICS as a support worker in 2014 before being promoted to deputy manager in 2017.
Registered to provide residential care for five adults with a learning disability and additional needs; which include physical disabilities (the home does not provide nursing care).
The property is a purpose-built bungalow, which is in keeping with the modern housing estate. It is located on a main road leading to Nuneaton and is close to local bus services, shops and pubs. The home is also within easy reach of doctors, dentist and library and has a specially adapted vehicle, which is always available for use of the residents for shopping and outings. There is a car park for visitors and staff, with gardens to the front, side and rear of the building.
The home has a large entrance hall leading to the main living areas, which include a large comfortable lounge (22.8 m2), separate dining room (17.4 m2), a large domestic style kitchen (13.9 m2) and a large modern utility room. A corridor leads to five single bedrooms (13.7 m2) there are two bathrooms, which are adapted for people with a physical disability and the home is fully adapted for use by individuals in wheelchairs.
Residents own rooms are personalised to reflect the likes and individuality of the person occupying the room.
Organisational Structure of the Home
The person responsible for the day-to-day running of the home is the home manager who has relevant qualifications and experience. A deputy manager aids the home manager in the running of the home; in addition, there is a team of support workers with a wealth of specific experience and qualifications.
